Oscar Cunningham's legacy lives on through his grandson. After having his jersey retired at OSU Newark, and playing professional basketball in Cypress Greece , Che' Jones has coached at the high school, junior college and NAIA levels. Jones is currently Assistant Coach and Summer Camp Director of the ABA team the Las Vegas Venom. Oscar Cunningham would certainly be proud of Che' and all of his sons and grandsons who have coached and mentored kids all over the country.
